U.S. Cellular is rolling out software updates to multiple devices that include the LG G7 ThinQ, Motorola Moto E4, Samsung Galaxy J7, and Galaxy Tab S4.
The updates are rolling out to the three devices over the air and while we know they tag along new Android security fixes, details of the patch level are not clear for any of the four devices.
Those using the LG G7 should watch out for an update with version G710VM10k, up from version G710VM10j that brought November 2018 security. If anything, it’s likely that G7 users are receiving December 2018 patches, so let us know about it.
The story isn’t so different with respect to the Moto E4, Galaxy J7 Pop and Galaxy Tab S4, although the latter duo is likely to be on the receiving end of January 2019 security patches. Where the Moto E4’s update is arriving as version NPQS26.69-64-15, those using the J7 Pop and Tab S4 should watch out for updates with versions J727R4TYS1BSA1 and T837R4TYS1ASA2, respectively.
Being airborne updates, it will take some time before all affected units get the download notification, so be patient as you wait for the new update to arrive.
