Telus rolling out Nougat update for Moto Z Play in Canada

Telus Canada has released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Motorola Z Play. The update is currently being rolled to users via OTA. If you’re a Moto Z Play user, you should receive the update notification soon.

The Android 7.0, not 7.1.1, update for Telus Moto Z Play was actually released on March 6. Therefore, the chances are that you have already got the update. If not, you can manually check for it in Settings.

Earlier this month, Rogers Canada had also released the Nougat update for the Moto Z Play. Yes, it is all a bit too late, but that’s what happens with carriers. And just yesterday, we found out that Republic Wireless carrier in America is also soak testing Nougat for the Z Play.

According to Republic Wireless, the Nougat update for Moto Z Play should be available by March 13 if no bugs are found during the test. Even Verizon has released the Nougat update for the Z Play Droid.
