T-Mobile OnePlus 6T gets new update rolling out, includes August security patch

A new software update is now available as an OTA for the OnePlus 6T users at T-Mobile. If you were expecting anything like Android 10, we won’t blame you given the extraordinary pace at with OnePlus is ro1lling out updates in 2019, but hey, even the OnePlus 7 Pro at T-Mobile is yet to receive Android 10 yet.

Further, even the Global units of OnePlus 6T are to receive the Android 10 beta update, let alone the stable build, so we can lay it down pretty surely that Android 10 for OnePlus 6T is at least a few months away.


So, all you get with today’s new update, dubbed A6013_34_190814, is an updated Google Maps app and August 2019 security patch. Yes, we would have liked the October patch to be part of the update too, after all, it’s already available for Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Note 9, even though the company is known for rolling out updates slowly. Speaking of which, Samsung announced the Android 10 beta program today as part of their One UI 2 update.
