After a long wait, T-Mobile has released another update for LG K20. The device was announced in March this year and received one update in March itself. The latest OTA update doesn’t bring any major change in the device except bringing the latest August security patch for K20.

The update arrives as version TP26010s and is based on Android Nougat. It should reach your device in the coming days. In case you are too impatient to wait, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.

Before installing the update ensure that your LG handset is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network to avoid extra data charges.

Meanwhile, Android Oreo is out now. It brings features such as Picture In Picture mode, snooze notifications, revamped settings and other things. You can check all Android Oreo features here and also click here to know if your device is getting Android Oreo or not.
