We already knew that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is destined for T-Mobile but for what it’s worth, an internal memo from the T-Mobile stores has leaked out, confirming the this Galaxy Note 2’s specs and also, for those who were worried, that this buddy doesn’t have a Verizon Galaxy Note 2 like branding on its home key. It’s neat like the International Note 2, so chill. Should have T-Mobile’s branding at the back, which is completely okay.
Now, as for the specs of the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2, which has already been confirmed as SGH-T889 under OTA leak, the memo confirms the obvious: it sports a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, and is powered by the super-duper 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor. There is a 3100 mAh battery – which even though just a tad short of Razr Maxx’s cool 3300 mAh battery, wouldn’t do those wonders I guess because of the large display it would need to cater too in this case, as against, Razr Maxx’s (meager?) 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display.
The memo also points out that the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 is a Reliable and Secure SAFE certified device. Not to be left behind, the 42 mbps speed has got its due mention too, although some would have preferred LTE support from the Galaxy Note 2, claiming: even though the carriers’ LTE network isn’t booting up any time before mid-2013, you do buy a phone for 2 yrs on contract, so LTE support makes sense. And they aren’t wrong, no?
The specs are nothing different from what we have already seen on the international Galaxy Note 2, N7100, but it’s still good to see unbranded home button – so yeah, the memo was worth it.
Yeah, but it would have been more cool if it indeed gave us a launch date, or an idea of it (instead of To Be Decided status you know), or the price — something more suited to a memo.
