Last week T-mobile confirmed that the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the HTC One M9 is currently under testing. Sadly, though, it didn’t reveal a particular time-frame for the official roll out of the same. As it turns out, the Magenta carrier has now already started seeding the update to the HTC One M9 users.
Coming in as an OTA with build 4.27.531.6, the update weighs in at around 1.09GB in size and adds the new Android 7.0 Nougat OS to HTC’s 2015 flagship. What this essentially means is that One M9 users will be able to make use of new features that Nougat has in store. Some of them include improved Doze mode, revamped quick toggles in the notification shade, new multi-window mode, and more.
The update also contains the security patch for February and system performance enhancements. After the HTC One 10, its One M9’s torn to see the 7.0 rollout world over.

Considering the fact that the update is quite large in terms of size, we recommend our readers to charge their handsets before installing the update. Also, make sure you are connected to the Wi-Fi before updating to Nougat in order to avoid extra data charges.
As always, backup your data before starting the update process. It’s not likely for things to go south. But, if they do, back up never hurts, does it?
