Sprint is seeding an update for another one of its devices at the moment. The LG V20 is getting a new security update as of now. If you own a V20 and are on Sprint, then you should either have already received the update, or you will soon get the notification.
This update is for the LG V20 LS997 variant and should only be installed on the same. The software version for the update is LS997ZVC and it is available over-the-air. You must be on the previous LS997ZVB software version to receive this update.
There aren’t any new features included in the update. The only thing this update brings is a newer Android security patch, which should take care of the latest vulnerabilities and exploits. Therefore, this is a recommended install.
The previous version installed the November 2017 security patch on the device. If you have already installed the new update, do let us know if there’s anything new. Those who are about to install it, make sure the phone has more than 50 percent charge and is on a stable Wi-Fi network. The LG V20 will also receive the Android Oreo update later this year.
