The Sprint HTC One Max is receiving an OTA update with software version 3.02.651.8, and as per the official changelog the only thing that is set to shift with this update is “Fingerprint security enhancement”.
We can understand your pain if you had thought this OTA would be the Lollipop update for the Sprint One Max. But unfortunately, Sprint hasn’t even began development for the Lollipop release for HTC One Max. We doubt now if the carrier would release Android 5.0 update for this device or not.
The HTC One Max Unlocked/Developer Edition variant has already received Android 5.0 Lollipop update officially from HTC. So it’s not like the device couldn’t afford it, but Sprint’s inactivity is making us wonder if Lollipop goodness would ever reach the One Max via official means.
The current development status for the Sprint HTC One Max is “HTC Eye Experience”, which again is taking longer than it should. Wake up Sprint.
