This year’s Mobile World Congress saw many devices from Sony, which included Sony Xperia XZ Premium and XA1 Ultra. Interestingly, after being announced in other countries now both the devices are launched in Malaysia.
We first saw Sony Xperia XZ Premium launch in UK for £649, later in Germany, followed by Austria. Notably, Sony Xperia XZ Premium costs RM3399.00 ($794.81/£706.97) in Malaysia, which is slightly higher than its price in the UK. That said, the device definitely comes with a lot of goodies.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes with exclusive gifts worth RM728 ($170). These include a Sony stereo Bluetooth headset, TouchnGo card preloaded with RM100, Screen warranty care and Silicon Case and tempered glass. The device is available in two color options – black and chrome.

Sony XA1 Ultra which is priced at 1899.0 ($444.05/£394.98), also comes with free goodies worth RM($76.70). These include Sony quick charger and Silicon Case and tempered glass. Further, the device comes in four beautiful color options of black, gold, white, and pink.
While Xperia XZ Premium features 5.46-inch 4K display, Xperia XA1 Ultra flaunts a 6-inch Full HD 1080p. Both the devices pack 4GB RAM, however, the Snapdragon 835 processor powers Xperia XZ Premium whereas Xperia XA1 Ultra has MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core processor paired with Mali T880. In the camera segment, Xperia XZ Premium features 13MP camera at the front and a 19MP unit at the back whereas Xperia XA1 Ultra has a 23MP rear camera and 16MP front camera.
Also, Xperia XZ Premium has a 3230mAh battery and will run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. Further, it is IP68 water and dust resistant. On the other hand, Xperia XA1 Ultra has the battery capacity of 2700mAh and the phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
