Pick up Flashlight (No Batteries) from Zoe’s House’s ground-floor kitchen drawer, go into the upstairs left-hand room for AA Batteries inside the nightstand’s drawer, and choose Combine in your inventory to join them.

You’ll find both components in Zoe’s House. You need to pick them up separately, but once you’ve put them together, the flashlight helps you move through Silent Hill: Townfall’s dark places.

The house starts without power. That leaves the living-room computer inactive, blocking access to the emails needed for the Human Organ Box. The meter beneath the stairs uses a prepaid card: the £5 Electricard is inside the cash register at Peter’s Newsagent, which you can enter through its rear fire exit.

With the card collected, return to Zoe’s House and crouch through the low opening beside the stairs to reach the meter. If the box is too dark to read, switch on your flashlight. Insert the Electricard into the slot directly below buttons A and B.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the flashlight run out of batteries?

No, your assembled Flashlight has effectively unlimited charge and remains a permanent tool, so you don’t need to collect replacement batteries later in the game. Using it doesn’t gradually expend the AA Batteries you installed.

Is the flashlight separate from the CRTV?

Yes, your flashlight is separate from the handheld CRTV. The CRTV reveals enemies behind walls, while your flashlight interacts with ray-traced lighting.
