Samsung is already rolling out Android Oreo updates to the Galaxy J7 2017, but since the device has multiple variants depending on markets, only a handful of these variants have been updated to Oreo.

Folks in the U.S. using the Galaxy J7 2017 with model number SM-J727 are already receiving the update to Oreo and so are those using the Galaxy J7 Nxt (J7 Core) with model number SM-J701F. The Oreo update has also been spotted on Russia’s variant of the J7 2017 with model number SM-J730FM and it appears Sammy is getting ready to go global with the J7 2017 Oreo update.

Multiple variants of the J7 2017 (SM-J730) have been cleared by the Wi-Fi Alliance with Oreo 8.0 running the show, suggesting that the official rollout is almost ready. We can’t be certain with the date, but we can estimate the update to begin rolling out in a few weeks’ time, probably even before the end of this month or somewhere in October 2018.

If your J7 2017 has any of model numbers SM-J730F, SM-J730FM/DS, SM-J730F/DS, SM-J730G, SM-J730G/DS, SM-J730GM, SM-J730GM/DS, and SM-J730K, be sure that an update to Android Oreo will arrive soon on your device.
