Long after the global variant of the Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 were treated to the beta version of Android Pie, Samsung is now bringing the US variants on par too. However, only the unlocked variants are up for the beta update today, which means devices with model numbers SM-G950U1, SM-G955U1 and SM-G955U1 are up.
Till now, the beta version of Android Pie was not available for our friends in the US, but that changes today. Users have confirmed to receiving the Android Pie beta update for the Galaxy S8 sets and Galaxy Note 8.
Coming in as software version ZSAB, the OTA update carrying Android 9 Pie beta along with One UI is now available for the users of unlocked versions of the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 in the US.
With the Pie update, users get new features like Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, Gesture Navigation, and a lot more. But we won’t blame you if you are more excited with what Samsung brings with the Pie update, that is One UI.

How to get Android Pie beta?
To get Android Pie beta on your Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 now, all you need to do is download and install the Samsung+ app from the Play Store and sign up for the beta tester program.
