Samsung Nexus 10 Images leak, lots of it

Gentlemen and Droids, behold the new king of tablets, the Google Nexus 10, by Samsung. This came so out of the blue, that we just couldn’t believe our eyes. The droids over at BriefMobile seem to have either managed to somehow get their hands on a test unit, or are really close to someone who has one. Either ways, here we go with some live pics of the Nexus 10, plus some screenshots of a few new features and changes coming up with Android 4.2.

The general shape is very Galaxy Note 10.1-ish, for lack of a better word, although the edges are a bit more rounded. Check out the Nexus etching on the back, with the Samsung logo below. Somehow, the back panel looks similar to the Motorola Xoom WiFi, with the exception of that beautiful five letter word.

Now check out the what the front panel looks like. While the image cannot do justice to the eye-popping ultra high-resolution screen this baby is going to pack, it is still a good indication of how crisp and sharp visuals appear on this brilliant display. +1 Samsung

Screenshot of About Tablet showing the software version and the model. Reconfirming the name- Nexus 10 (Although that could just be a production name on a test device and may change later, but the OS version, as expected, is Android 4.2). For those of you who are still wondering, Android 4.2 will usher in improvements and new features but retain the Jelly Bean moniker. Key Lime Pie will have to wait for now.

The Homescreen.

New feature in the Gallery – Filmstrip mode view. Images are going to look just stunning on this 2560 x 1600 screen at 300 PPI.

Quick Settings. Check out the first icon in the Quick Settings grid. It says Primary, and in all likelihood refers to the Primary user or Admin user. Multi-user support coming up with Android 4.2 finally, folks.

What can we say, but that we are so, so looking forward to getting our hands on this beast. There are a few more pics out there, but we thought we’d just post the key ones which really give a feel of what the Nexus 10 is all about. If  you want to check them out, just hit the source link below.

On the specs bit, there’s really nothing much else, than what we already know by now, but here they are again anyway, quoted from the BriefMobile page:

  • Samsung Exynos 5250 Processor
    • Clocked at 1.7 GHz
    • Dual-core Cortex-A15
    • Mali-T604 GPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage (other options possible)
  • 10.1-inch Super AMOLED display
    • 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution

  • 5-megapixel rear-facing camera

So there you have it folks, the Nexus 10 in the flesh. Awesomeness now has a new five letter synonym – NEXUS. Well done, Samsung and Google. Now all we need is some awesome pricing to go with this awesome device, and you will have fans for life.

  1. To me the specs look pretty awesome, I’m not too sure about “brown-ish” tinge in the colour of the case though.

    1. Could be this is a test device, not necessarily having all the cosmetic makeup that the retail ones would…could also be the lighting…but anyway, if the back is indeed brown-ish people would be far too busy admiring that stunning display to notice the color of the back panel

      1. Agreed, I’m not too bothered about that the look either, but more interested in the capabilities of the tablet. But you have to agree that the first thing that people notice when seeing the machine is the aesthetics and that really can be a deal breaker.

Whhat hapened to GPS. I’ve been waiting for Samsung to release an android tablet with GPS on it as well as all the othe ttop fetures which wee already see on some other android tablets on the market. Reading the specs of this new device was looking better than perfect, until I got to the bottom of the list only to discover that there is no GPS iincluded. There aer other tablets on the market that incorperate GPS but no bluetooth. I would of liked to see this. I have o interest in any oof the ”I” /iOS device’s at all..

    1. It is expected to have GPS..in any case, all of what we have heard so far is till officially unconfirmed, and will clear up come Monday
