Samsung marks Galaxy A90 5G for Quarterly security updates along with A10s, A30s, A50s, M10s, and M30s

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is generating a lot of hype right now, and all for the good reasons. 5G support in Android phones has been a costly affair thus far, so much that you have to get an extra expensive version if you are looking to buy an S10, Note 10 or OnePlus 7 Pro, but with the A90 5G, Samsung hopes to solve that problem. The A90 5G is being pegged at $750 pricing, which isn’t cheap by any means but at least you can now have a 5G phone at almost half the cost of Note 10+ 5G.

Sure, Samsung is helping you buy a 5G phone without breaking the bank but it will also come with a little bit compromise as regards monthly software updates. Samsung today updated its Android Security Update Scope page to reveal that the A90 5G will get quarterly security updates. Other devices marked for quarterly security updates include the Galaxy A10s, A30s, A50s, M10s, and M30s.

Galaxy A90 security update

Samsung keeps the policy of monthly updates to its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note flagship series only with Galaxy A and Galaxy M treated with quarterly updates. So, on the paper, nothing wrong, given that A90 is a 5G phone that also costs as much as the S10e flagship device that receives monthly security updates, Samsung could have done better than quarterly updates.
