New budget 2019 Galaxy Tab A comes with S-Pen support

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2019 with S Pen

If you’re even the smallest bit in touch with the technology of today, you must have noticed the changes that have affected the marketplace. Bezels have been disappearing, screens have been increasing in size, and screens seem to be having aspect ratios of 18:9 and beyond.

This has put the tablet market into a very awkward spot. With smartphone screens averaging around 6 inches, the need for tablets is slowly disappearing. Foldable smartphone prototypes and even actual foldable devices have been entering the market and as such drowning the sales of the quintessential tablet.

Nowadays, the only tablets we see having decent (but declining) sales figures are iPads, but still, Samsung isn’t giving up on this market. We have just learned about Samsung’s latest shot at making a mark in this difficult market. Their latest attempt has been given the name Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2019.

Galaxy Tab A 2019

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A uses an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200. The Galaxy Tab A 2019 looks to be aimed at students considering its mediocre processing abilities. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7904 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.

The Galaxy Tab A features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The camera also supports AR emoji and stickers, live bokeh, live blur, and live beauty modes. The rear camera supports video recording at Full HD and unsurprisingly, there seems to be no fingerprint scanner on this tablet.

The Galaxy Tab A can be seen running One UI based on Android 9 Pie from the information we have received. It houses a 4,200 mAh battery with a claimed battery life of 11 hours. It is available in both grey and black colors and uses the same S-Pen as the Galaxy Note 8.

The Galaxy Tab A will be sold in Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the UK.
