The pre-order for Samsung’s flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8+ have broken all past records of the company. The sale of these devices, which began last week in Korea and US, is also expected to set another record. But in comparison to Galaxy S8, it’s the premium model Galaxy S8+ which is touted to receive better response.

As per a recent report coming out of Korea, the sales of Galaxy S8+ units are expected to be much more than that of the Galaxy S8. Out of the total annual sales of 50.4 million units of Galaxy S8 series smartphone, the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ alone is touted to occupy 27.1 million units which is around 53.9 percent, as per Yuanta Securities report.

Galaxy S8+ has been receiving more attention owing to its bigger screen size as well as better RAM capacity. Samsung released Galaxy S8+ in two versions — one with 4GB RAM and 64GB and the other with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The pre-orders for Galaxy S8 and S8+ was started from April 7th to April 17th. During this period the pre-orders crossed the 1 million mark, registering a new record for Samsung’s smartphones.
