How to Root ZUK Z2 / Z2 Pro and install TWRP Recovery

The Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro Android devices which were recently launched, are yet to begin shipping in most markets. But that isn’t stopping folks over at xda from getting an unofficial build of TWRP recovery already booting on the said devices.

User acer73 over at xda posted unofficial builds of TWRP recovery for Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro earlier today, and as per the developer, both recovery builds seem to be booting up fine.

And as ya all know, one of the key benefits of having TWRP recovery on an Android device is easy root access. Rooting an Android device with TWRP recovery installed is a piece of cake, thanks to the flashable SuperSU zip package by Chainfire.

To root ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro all you need to do is install TWRP recovery on the device and flash the latest SuperSU zip using TWRP’s install menu.

Grab the ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro TWRP recovery files (unofficial) from the download links below and follow the instructions to install TWRP and then root the devices.
