How to Root Lenovo K3 Note on Marshmallow 6.0

The Lenovo K3 Note recently received the much awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However, folks like us, who couldn’t go without root access on their Android devices seems to be still deciding on whether to update to Marshmallow or not, in fear of losing root access.

Well, fortunately for you people, the latest BETA version of SuperSU by Chainfire would easily root your Lenovo K3 Note Marshmallow update.

Chainfire’s systemless root based latest SuperSU beta is efficient in rooting most builds of Marshmallow in the simplest way possible. All you need is a custom recovery like TWRP and you’re good to go.

All you gotta do to root K3 Note Marshmallow update is download the SuperSU beta zip and simply flash it from TWRP recovery.     1. No, you will not. You will need to unroot your device in order to receive OTA updates properly.

  3. Cannot gain root access even with TWRP. I have also tried with CWM Recovery. I installed it a few times but SU icon does not seem to be there.

    It shows an error of “NO MD5 file found!” while installing zip file via custom recovery. Is it because K3 Note models differ? My phone is K50-T5, the Chinese version.

    Installed Marshmallow update on stock ROM. SU process was working fine on Lollipop, but cannot say the same for Marshmallow.
