All things fun starts with installing a custom recovery like TWRP on your Android device. And it’s even more fun when you’re in hold of a device maintained by Google directly, as you’ve full freedom over the customizability of it.

TWRP recovery allows you to perform a ton of great features on your Android device, that you won’t otherwise be able to do via the stock Android recovery.

Like, for example, with TWRP you can take complete nandroid backup of your device. Plus, install custom ROMs, MODs and modify system files without having root access.

For the Pixel C, TWRP recovery isn’t yet available officially via TeamWin maintainers. But there’s an unofficial build of TWRP recovery for Pixel C, developed by cheep5k8 over at xda. And reportedly works fine, except for some sluggishness in the UI.

You can grab the unofficial Pixel C TWRP recovery from the download link below and simply flash it via Fastboot.
