The wait has finally come to an end! Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) has been made available, officially, for the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
Team Win has assigned codenames Sargo and Bonito for the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, respectively.

How to Install
Be warned that you cannot run this TWRP version on stock kernel. To perform a clean install, first, download the img and the zip files. Reboot your device into bootloader. Connect your Pixel 3a/3a XL to your computer, and run this command “fastboot boot path/to/twrp.img” from the appropriate location. Next, use ADB or MTP to load the zip file to your device. Finally, browse the zip file and install.
