The 1.0.3 update in Palworld does not add new Pals or regions; it mainly makes progression and resource farming easier with earlier Jetragon and Aquatic Construction Kit unlocks, a World Tree Holy Water rework, cheaper oil production, and several bug and exploit fixes.
This is a tuning patch, not a new-content drop. The big additions, including Sunreach, The World Tree, and the expanded Pal roster, belong to the earlier 1.0 launch; version 1.0.3, released on August 12, 2026, is about making that content less grindy and less awkward to play through.

What version 1.0.3 changes in Palworld

Version 1.0.3 is a balance, progression, resource, server, and bug-fix update. It moves some important unlocks earlier, makes World Tree Holy Water easier to carry and farm, reduces pressure around oil production, and cleans up several blockers and exploits.
It does not add new Pals, regions, bosses, or story areas. If you are looking for the big content jump, that was the 1.0 launch on July 10, 2026, which added 72 Pals, Sunreach, The World Tree, and major system changes.
Biggest 1.0.3 changes at a glance
| Change | New state |
|---|---|
| Jetragon-related technologies | Moved from level 79 to level 70, with cheaper Pal Gear for riding Jetragon |
| Aquatic Construction Kit | Moved from level 66 to level 23, with Ancient Technology Point cost reduced from 4 to 1 |
| World Tree Holy Water | Lower weight, longer duration, more sources, higher gains from World Tree Pals and Teafant Springs |
| Fiber from trees | Doubled |
| Oil extractors | Crude Oil Extractor and High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor cost less and produce faster |
| Server setting | Hosts can adjust enemy camp spawning near base camps |
| Major bug fixes | Sunreach progression, tower fight fast travel, World Tree stutter, Pal behavior, building placement, UI, sound, controls, and map display |
| Exploit removals | Item duplication and Sphere Launcher interval abuse were closed |
| Hidden notes | Snock Lux is now Snock Terra, and several skill-display or loot-table oddities remain worth checking |
Key The patch is strongest for players in the midgame-to-late-game transition. You reach useful traversal and building tools earlier, spend less time fighting resource bottlenecks, and lose a few shortcuts that were never meant to survive long-term.
Jetragon and Aquatic Construction Kit unlock earlier
The biggest Technology Tree pacing change is to Jetragon. Jetragon-related technologies, including Jetragon’s Missile Launcher, now unlock at level 70 instead of sitting in the old level 79 range, and the Pal Gear used to ride Jetragon costs fewer materials.

That makes Jetragon useful sooner instead of arriving after many players have already pushed deep into the hardest 1.0 content. It also lines up better with nearby late-game progression, where mounts and boss prep matter more than hoarding a top-tier flyer until the very end.
The Aquatic Construction Kit gets an even more dramatic shift. It now unlocks at level 23 instead of level 66, and its Ancient Technology Point cost drops from 4 to 1. That turns shoreline and sea-adjacent building into a much earlier base-planning option instead of something you discover after your main bases are already settled.

World Tree Holy Water farming after 1.0.3
| Use |
|---|
| Passive Holy Water income while also chasing World Tree expedition rewards |
| Repeatable active farming; early numbers can look close to double, but drop rates should be treated as variable |
| Base-side Holy Water farming without traveling back into The World Tree constantly |
| Better Holy Water drops while farming World Tree enemies and related materials |
| Burst pickups and full heals at spring locations, including one shown around -1727, 1396 |
World Tree Holy Water is the most practical rework in the patch. Its weight has dropped from 1 to 0.1, its duration has been extended, and the update adds several new ways to gather it without leaning on one annoying grind.
The item now fits better into longer World Tree runs because you can carry far more bottles without punishing your inventory. The farming loop is also less narrow: you can pull Holy Water from expeditions, fishing, base fishing infrastructure, World Tree Pal drops, and Teafant Springs.

Set up World Tree expeditions and a Large Fishing Pond before your next long World Tree run; the lighter Holy Water stack makes the whole farming loop much less punishing.
Fiber, oil, and base production updates
Tree farming is simply better now: Fiber from trees is doubled. Since Fiber touches so many recipes and structures, this removes a lot of the low-value gathering friction from early and midgame crafting.
The patch also adjusts Ancient Armor crafting work and makes the oil chain less painful. Crude Oil Extractor, High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor, and Large Power Generator setup costs have been reduced, and both oil extractors now produce Crude Oil faster.

There is also a cleaner mission interaction now: a mission that required a regular Crude Oil Extractor can progress when you build a High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor instead. The old item duplication route has been removed, so oil planning should be based on real extractor placement and production rather than patched shortcuts.
Enemy camp spawning near bases
Hosts get a new server-side option around enemy camp spawning near base camps. The point is simple: base placement can now interact differently with the suppression zone that normally stops enemy camps from appearing close to player bases.
This matters if you are hosting a server and placing bases near reliable field events or valuable island routes. Early player testing also suggests nearby supply drop behavior can be affected, so server owners should recheck bases that were deliberately placed just outside spawn-sensitive areas.
For manual config edits, match the key your server build generates. The setting appears under more than one current label, including EnemyCampPreventionRangeMultiplier and bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp.
Bug fixes and exploit removals players should know
| Area | Fix |
|---|---|
| Sunreach progression | A blocker tied to removing the barrier before accepting the main mission was fixed |
| Tower Boss battles | Unintended fast travel during tower fights on dedicated servers was fixed |
| The World Tree | Stutter during World Tree entry cutscenes was addressed |
| Dedicated servers | Pals rapidly vibrating on the client screen was addressed |
| Summoned Pals | Summoned Pals should no longer stop fighting or stop helping with base work in the affected cases |
| Orserk | Orserk’s passive skill display issue in multiplayer was corrected |
| Alpha Surfent | Alpha Surfent now properly produces leather |
| Panthalus | Attack wave and damage range mismatches were fixed |
| Stairs and slanted roofs | Placement detection now better matches their actual shapes |
| Moon Lord and Ultra Raid Boss | Reward issues were addressed, but fresh clears are still the sensible way to judge farm routes after updating |
| Item duplication | A duplication exploit tied to certain actions was removed |
| Sphere Launcher | Shot intervals were changed so rapid-fire abuse no longer works |
| World Tree Holy Water display | The effect now displays correctly on a Pal being ridden |
| UI blur | A full-screen blur while aiming with certain on-screen effects was fixed |
| Fullscreen text | Text display issues when switching fullscreen states were fixed |
| Controls | Default key restoration and duplicate-key confirmation issues were fixed |
| Sound | Teafant Spring, wanted-state music, attack helicopter music, and misplaced footstep sounds were adjusted |
| Map display | A beach-like display remaining after fast traveling to an offshore base was fixed |
Base builders should especially test stairs again. Vertical bases are less frustrating when stairs and slanted roofs respect their real collision shapes instead of blocking placement from invisible edges.

| Item | What changed |
|---|---|
| Snock Lux | The Pal is now named Snock Terra |
| Sekhmet Alpha | The 400% work-speed jump appears while Sekhmet Alpha is actively working at a base station |
| Dandilord Immortality | The tooltip can show 100% damage dealt, while current behavior can still resemble the old 5% heal |
| Dark-type World Tree Pals | Some can still drop Electric Radiant Gems instead of Dark Radiant Gems |
| Regrown base trees | Pals still may not treat a regrown tree inside a base as a normal work target |
| Performance and stutter | Some PC setups can still stutter during heavy aiming or mod-dependent play, especially while mods catch up |
Several changes and oddities are separate from the main listed balance pass. These are the small details most likely to matter if you are testing Pals, skill text, loot tables, or base behavior after updating.
The Snock Terra rename is the cleanest hidden change here. The others are more about behavior you should personally test before rebuilding around them, especially Sekhmet Alpha work output, Dandilord healing text, and Radiant Gem farming from dark-type World Tree Pals.
Post-1.0.3 priorities in Palworld

After updating, first recheck your Technology Tree for Jetragon and the Aquatic Construction Kit. Then change your World Tree Holy Water habits: run expeditions, use the Large Fishing Pond, fish in World Tree areas, and mark useful Teafant Springs.
Next, revisit oil bases and power builds because extractors and Large Power Generators are cheaper to set up. If you build tall bases, test stairs and slanted roofs again; if you host, review the enemy camp spawn setting; and if your route depended on old duplication or Sphere Launcher behavior, rebuild it around the patched rules.
