Palworld 1.0.3 significantly changes the way you should approach World Tree Holy Water farming. Before the update, the resource was already important for endgame progression, but your options for obtaining it were much narrower. The new patch adds Holy Water to several passive reward sources while also increasing the amount obtained from World Tree Pals and Teafant Springs.
If you want the largest amount in the shortest possible time, however, active farming remains the better approach. With the right party, the Dusty Ravine can turn groups of Electric Pals into a steady stream of Holy Water while also giving you useful secondary materials.

Why World Tree Holy Water matters more after 1.0.3
World Tree Holy Water is not simply another crafting material. It has a special role in the World Tree, where resources can disappear if you approach them without the appropriate protection. Current World Tree guides describe Holy Water as one of the key items for safely harvesting the region’s resources.
It is also used in several expensive endgame recipes. Current item data lists Holy Water as an ingredient for structures and equipment including the Ancient Farm, Ancient Clinic, Drone Launcher and Paloxite Ingots.

The 1.0.3 update makes stockpiling it considerably easier. Pocketpair’s latest patch changes added Holy Water to World Tree expedition rewards, World Tree fishing, and Large Fishing Pond rewards. The update also increased the amount obtained from World Tree Pals and Teafant Springs.
That means you no longer need to rely exclusively on repeatedly hunting Pals.
How to use passive farming for World Tree Holy Water
The easiest method is to let your base and expedition systems produce Holy Water while you concentrate on other activities.
World Tree expeditions are particularly useful because they can provide Holy Water alongside other valuable World Tree materials. If you have access to Panthalus and the relevant expedition system, sending your Pals into the World Tree’s Forbidden Area gives you a way to accumulate resources without manually fighting every Pal.

Large Fishing Ponds provide another passive option. After setting up the appropriate pond at your base, using Deluxe Bait allows fishing-related rewards to accumulate while your Pals handle the work. Because 1.0.3 specifically added World Tree Holy Water to Large Fishing Pond rewards, this method is now worth incorporating into a long-term farming setup.
These methods are not necessarily the fastest way to fill your inventory during a single farming session, but they are excellent for maintaining a reserve.
How to prepare the best active farming team
For active farming, the most important idea is to match your party’s drop-boosting Partner Skills with the Pals you are hunting.
Menasting and Menasting Terra are particularly useful against Electric Pals. Their Steel Scorpion-type Partner Skill increases the amount of items dropped by Electric Pals. At the highest condensation level, the bonus reaches 80%.

Menasting Terra is especially attractive for this route because the Snock Terra targets are Electric-type. Its Partner Skill provides an Electric-Pal drop bonus ranging from 40% to 80%, depending on condensation.
The Enchanted Sword can cover Dark-type targets. Its Enchant Partner Skill increases item drops from Dark Pals, also scaling from 40% to 80% depending on its Partner Skill level.
| Party Pal | Main purpose |
| Menasting | Increases Electric Pal drops |
| Menasting Terra | Increases Electric Pal drops |
| Enchanted Sword | Increases Dark Pal drops |
| Strong flying mount | Fast movement and AoE clearing |
| Flexible fifth slot | Damage, mobility or survivability |
The important part is that these Partner Skills work while the relevant Pal is in your party, so you can focus on using a separate combat mount or damage dealer while retaining the farming bonuses.
How to farm Holy Water at Dusty Ravine
- Prepare your team: Menasting, Menasting Terra, Enchanted Sword, and a strong flying mount.
- Go to Dusty Ravine.
- Start at the bottom of the ravine.
- Hunt Snock Terra groups for Holy Water.
- Clear groups quickly with strong AoE attacks.
- Move upward through the ravine and collect all drops.
- Reach the top and fast travel back to reset the area.
- Repeat the route from bottom to top.
- Send Panthalus Pals on World Tree expeditions for passive Holy Water.
- Use a Large Fishing Pond with Deluxe Bait for another passive Holy Water source.
- Combine passive farming with the Snock Terra loop for the best overall supply
The Dusty Ravine route is particularly effective because Electric Pals can appear in groups, allowing you to chain several kills together without wasting much time traveling between targets. Holy Water returns from repeated runs through this type of World Tree route, especially when using condensed drop-boosting Pals.

This creates a simple farming loop:
Bottom of Dusty Ravine → clear groups → move upward → reach top → fast travel/reset → return to bottom → repeat.
The exact number of Holy Water obtained per run will vary with Pal spawn rates, your server settings, drop bonuses, kill speed and other world settings. Community reports have demonstrated very high returns from optimized versions of this strategy, including reports of roughly 500+ Holy Water in around 15 minutes under particular setups.
Those figures should be treated as player-reported results rather than a guaranteed rate.
How to maximize the Snock Terra drops
The most important optimization is improving the Electric Pal drop bonus.
A normal Menasting or Menasting Terra starts with a 40% Electric Pal drop increase, while higher Partner Skill levels increase the bonus progressively. At maximum condensation, the bonus reaches 80%.
Because you can have both Menasting and Menasting Terra in the party, community farming tests have found this combination particularly effective for routes dominated by Electric Pals.

The same principle applies to Dark targets when using Enchanted Sword. Its Partner Skill provides an item-drop bonus for Dark Pals and scales with its Partner Skill level.
You should therefore think of the party as a farming team rather than a conventional combat team. Your strongest attacker does not always need to occupy every party slot when a weaker Pal provides a much more valuable drop bonus.
How Frostallion fits into the farming setup
Frostallion is useful here primarily as a fast and powerful mount rather than as the source of the Holy Water bonus.
Its value comes from allowing you to move quickly around the farming area while using strong attacks to clear groups. A high-level Frostallion can make the route feel much faster because you can travel between spawn groups without spending time on the ground.

However, Frostallion and Snock Terra serve completely different purposes. Frostallion is an Ice Pal and a powerful flying mount, while Snock Terra is an Electric/Ground target whose value in this farming route comes from its drops.
That distinction matters because the mount you use for combat and the Pals you keep in your party for drop bonuses do not have to be the same thing.
How the 1.0.3 changes improve long-term farming
The biggest change is that Palworld 1.0.3 gives you multiple ways to build a Holy Water supply.
| Farming method | Activity level | Best use |
| World Tree Expeditions | Passive | Background resource generation |
| Large Fishing Pond | Passive | Base-based farming |
| World Tree fishing | Semi-passive | Extra fishing rewards |
| Teafant Springs | Active exploration | Picking up additional supplies |
| World Tree Pal hunting | Active | Direct farming |
| Dusty Ravine route | Active | High-speed targeted farming |
The patch also makes carrying the resource much less inconvenient. World Tree Holy Water’s weight was reduced from 1 to 0.1, while its duration was extended.
This is important because Holy Water is itself a resource you may want to carry during World Tree gathering runs. A lower weight means you can stockpile significantly more without sacrificing as much carrying capacity.
Holy Water rewards and uses worth prioritizing
| Use | Holy Water requirement |
| Ancient Farm | 50 |
| Ancient Clinic | 45 |
| Drone Launcher | 40 |
| Paloxite Ingot | 1 |
| Elemental Awakening Crystal recipes | Requires Holy Water |
Current World Tree data lists Holy Water among the ingredients for several advanced structures and crafting materials.
This is why farming more than the immediate amount you need is worthwhile. Once you begin crafting World Tree equipment and infrastructure, Holy Water can disappear surprisingly quickly.
How to choose between passive and active farming
If you are actively playing and want a large amount immediately, use the Dusty Ravine route. It rewards you for building a specialized party and clearing groups as quickly as possible.
If you are doing other activities, use World Tree expeditions and the Large Fishing Pond to build your stock in the background. The 1.0.3 changes make these methods substantially more relevant because Holy Water is now included in their rewards.
The best overall approach is to combine them. Use passive sources to maintain your baseline supply and the Dusty Ravine route whenever you need a large amount quickly.
For the fastest active method, build around Menasting and Menasting Terra, travel to the Dusty Ravine, focus on Snock Terra groups, clear the route from bottom to top and reset it for another circuit. Add Enchanted Sword for Dark targets and use a powerful flying mount to keep the route moving.
