Palworld 1.0 has seven farming seeds, and the fastest route is built around one Pal. A ranched Vaelet produces every seed except Berry Seeds, so you only need a separate Berry source while your Ranch handles the rest. Here is the full list and the exact setup.

How to get Vaelet and set up a seed Ranch in Palworld

Vaelet is the backbone of the 1.0 seed farm. Catch one, bring it home, and put it straight into a Ranch.

1. Fast travel to Castaway Beach — From the Sea Breeze Archipelago, warp to the Castaway Beach point at roughly -100, -706.
2. Head east into the sanctuary — Move east from the fast travel point into the No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary.
3. Catch a Vaelet — Vaelet spawns throughout the sanctuary, and a higher-level Vaelet boss roams farther north on the map.
4. Bring Vaelet back to base — Assign the caught Vaelet to your base so it can start working.
5. Assign Vaelet to a Ranch — Place Vaelet on a Ranch structure so it can begin producing drops.
6. Let Vaelet drop seeds — While ranching, Vaelet drops every seed type except Berry Seeds.

Getting Berry Seeds without Vaelet

Berry Seeds are the one seed a ranched Vaelet will never give you, so source them separately. You have two reliable options, and both are available early near your first settlements.

The fastest option is the Wandering Merchant north of the Small Settlement fast travel point, who sells Berry Seeds for 50 Gold each. For farming, wild Pals around the starting area, including Gumoss and Cattails, drop Berry Seeds as you fight and catch them, so you pick some up naturally while clearing the opening zones.

Wheat, Tomato, Lettuce, Potato, Carrot, and Onion Seeds from one Ranch

This is where Vaelet earns its keep. Every non-Berry seed, including Wheat, Tomato, Lettuce, Potato, Carrot, and Onion Seeds, comes from the same ranched Vaelet, so you do not need a separate route or Pal for each crop. Drop rates vary, so treat this as a repeat-farm route rather than an instant way to pull one specific seed on demand.

If you want to top up a single crop faster, individual Pals also specialize. For example, Robinquil yields Potato Seeds, but Vaelet’s all-in-one drop pool is what makes it the best seed-farming pick.

Plantation unlock levels and farming progression

Seeds are only half the job. Each crop needs its matching Plantation, and those unlock one at a time as you climb the Technology tree. Farming starts with the Berry Plantation, then each later crop opens at a higher level.

Each Plantation blueprint costs three seeds of its own crop plus Wood and Stone, and from the Tomato Plantation onward it also needs Aquatic Pal Fluids. That requirement catches a lot of players out, so work a Water-type Pal early if you want to push past berries and wheat smoothly.

Mistakes to avoid when farming seeds in 1.0

The biggest trap is expecting Vaelet to cover everything. It will not touch Berry Seeds, so if that field runs dry, restock from the merchant or wild Pals. The other common slip is building a Plantation before you have unlocked its Technology level, which leaves the seeds sitting useless until you catch up.

Older drop routes are the other problem. The 1.0 balance and loot pass reshuffled a lot, and a “guaranteed” seed spot from an earlier version will not always work the same way now.
