QUICK ANSWER
Since the 1.0 update, the strongest archery build in Palworld centers on the Mechanical Bow, Solenne, Loomen, bow/headshot-boosting Pals, attack accessories, and optional element swaps to delete bosses with charged weak-point shots.

KEY!

This is a boss-killing weak-point build, not a general mob-clearing setup. The whole idea is to stack player attack, bow damage, arrow explosion damage, and headshot bonuses onto one charged Mechanical Bow shot, then swap elements when a hard boss has a clear weakness.

Best Mechanical Bow loadout

Slot Pick Use
Main weapon Mechanical Bow Highest single-shot bow damage for charged weak-point hits.
Backup weapon Combat SMG Fast debuff application for Soak, poison, or other setup variants.
Core Pal Solenne Major player/basic attack boost when the party uses five different Pals.
Core Pal Loomen Adds an explosion to bow hits based on player attack.
Bow Pal Robinquill Adds bow damage, but is the easiest damage Pal to replace.
Weak-point Pal Cryolinx Terra Rewards repeated weak-point hits with a large next-hit damage bonus.
Weak-point Pal Vanwyrm Cryst Always-on weak-point damage boost.
Accessories Attack Pendant, Doan Emblem More player damage, plus extra player and Pal damage from the emblem.
Mobility Air Walker EX, Wing Pack Airborne aiming, repositioning, extra jumps, dashes, and escape options.
Food Mammorest Curry Attack boost before hard boss fights.

Play this as a precision archer: charge the bow, aim at the weak point, and use movement gear to create safe shooting angles. The build feels wasteful when fired into body shots, but it becomes brutal when every arrow is stacked into a headshot or boss weak point.

Mechanical Bow damage stack

Mechanical Bow carries the setup because its single-shot damage is extremely high before any Pal bonuses are added. Player-visible attack can vary with gear, rarity, and buffs; the common listed value is 20,000 Attack, while boosted setups can show higher numbers in the equipment screen.

Solenne supplies the biggest raw player damage increase, while Loomen adds the separate arrow explosion that scales from player attack. In a maxed setup, that explosion is treated as a 30% player-attack hit, so boosting the player first makes Loomen’s added damage much nastier.

Robinquill adds bow damage, then Vanwyrm Cryst and Cryolinx Terra push the build toward weak-point discipline. That is why charged shots matter: the build is not about firing the most arrows, it is about making the arrow that lands carry as many multipliers as possible.

Party slots for boss kills

Pal Effect Priority
Solenne Boosts basic attack damage with five different Pals in the party. Highest priority.
Loomen Makes bow attacks explode on contact for extra attack-based damage. Highest priority.
Vanwyrm Cryst Increases weak-point damage at all times. Core weak-point pick.
Cryolinx Terra Boosts the next attack after weak-point hits. Excellent if your aim is consistent.
Robinquill Increases bow damage. Useful, but most replaceable.
Robinquill Terra Increases bow charge speed. Optional comfort pick, not the main DPS choice.
Vanwyrm Adds weaker headshot damage than Vanwyrm Cryst. Fallback or extra variant slot.

Start with Solenne and Loomen. Those two are the backbone of the build because one raises the player’s bow hit and the other adds the explosion that rides on top of that boosted attack.

If you need to cut one slot for an elemental counter, cut Robinquill first. Its bow damage is helpful, but it is additive and smaller than Solenne’s boost, while Loomen’s explosion is too valuable to drop from most versions of the build.

Vanwyrm Cryst is easier to value because its weak-point bonus is always working when you aim correctly. Cryolinx Terra is stronger in cleaner fights where you can repeatedly tag the boss weak point, but it loses value when the target moves too much or forces awkward angles.

Support Pal passives

Passive Use
Vanguard Adds 10% player attack, making it one of the cleanest support passives.
Stronghold Strategist Raises player defense, giving the build more room to aim charged shots.
Idiosyncratic Preferred sustain pick because it improves player health regeneration.
Immortality Adds Pal attack and lifesteal to help support Pals survive.
Demon God Alternative Pal attack passive if you are not using Immortality.
Reload Master Usable on a copied loadout, but not preferred because the bow build does not lean on reload speed.

The support Pals are here to make the player hit harder and stay alive long enough to keep charging shots. Do not overcomplicate the breeding plan before you have the party assembled; get the core partner skills working, then tune passives.

Idiosyncratic is the better pick over Reload Master for this setup because the Combat SMG is mostly a debuff tool, not the main damage weapon. Your real uptime comes from surviving, repositioning, and landing charged bow shots.

Weapons, gear, and food

Item Use Notes
Mechanical Bow Main boss weapon. Unlocked at Technology Level 67 and crafted at the Ancient Workbench.
Mechanical Bow recipe Crafting target. Soralite Ingot x40, Carbon Fiber x20, Paldium Fragment x200, AI Core x3.
Mechanical Bow Ammo Required ammunition. Unlocked at Level 67; crafted from Soralite Ingot x2 per batch.
Advanced Bow Fallback bow. Use it until Mechanical Bow is available.
Combat SMG Debuff applicator. Fast-firing option for Soak, poison, or other status setup plans.
Attack Pendant Player damage accessory. Adds 15% overall damage.
Doan Emblem Player and Pal damage accessory. Adds 20% damage to the player and Pal.
Element batons Pal damage support. Use the baton that matches the Pal damage type you are building around.
Air Walker EX Mobility accessory. Gives three jumps and two dashes.
Wing Pack Vertical movement and disengage tool. Helps create angles for bow shots from height.
Mammorest Curry Pre-fight food buff. Raises attack by 25%.

Use the best bow you have while you work toward the Mechanical Bow. The Advanced Bow can carry the same party logic earlier, but the Mechanical Bow is the endgame target because the build scales so heavily with one powerful arrow.

QUICK WIN

Open hard boss fights with Mammorest Curry, swap to Combat SMG only long enough to apply the needed debuff, then return to charged Mechanical Bow weak-point shots.

The last gear slot is where the build becomes fight-specific. If your Pal damage plan leans dark, dragon, or another element, use the matching baton instead of a generic defensive talisman.

Element swaps for hard bosses

Element plan Pals or gear Best use
Electric bow Prickster Lux Use against water bosses when you want a larger electric attack boost after activation.
Mounted electric bow Beakon, Helzephyr Lux Use when riding helps you reach weak points or stay mobile while changing attacks to electric.
Soak into electric Combat SMG plus the Pal that applies Soak Use the SMG to apply Soak quickly, then punish the target with electric damage.
Water follow-up Azurmane-style water setup Use after an electrify-style setup when the target is taking extra water damage.
Fire bow Wixen, Ragnahawk, Faleris Ignis Use when you want to change attacks to fire and stack a fire damage boost.
Fire vulnerability Needleknight-style setup Use when applying Ivy Covered before fire damage is worth the party slot.
Poison target plan Combat SMG plus poison-synergy Pals Use a fast-firing weapon to apply poison, then use damage bonuses against poisoned targets.

Element swaps are the reason this bow setup handles more than one boss matchup. Keep the core damage package intact when possible, then replace the lowest-value slot with the Pal or gear that changes your attack type or makes the boss take more damage from the element you are about to use.

For most players, Prickster Lux is the cleanest hard-boss swap because multiple difficult fights are water-type matchups. If flying gives you easier weak-point access, Beakon or Helzephyr Lux can be worth the lower electric boost because the shot that actually lands on the weak point is the one that matters.

KEY!

Try to keep Loomen in the party even when changing elements. The explosion is part of what makes the build scale so hard, and dropping it usually costs more than replacing Robinquill’s additive bow bonus.

Bow build mistakes to avoid

Mistake Fix
Ignoring weak points. Build around charged headshots and boss weak spots.
Overvaluing Robinquill Terra charge speed. Use it for comfort, not as a major DPS replacement.
Running duplicate unique bow-buff Pals. Use different Pals so the party stacks separate effects.
Skipping Loomen. Keep the attack-scaling explosion unless a fight absolutely demands the slot.
Following old Compound Bow endgame advice. Move toward Advanced Bow first, then Mechanical Bow.

Most failed versions of this build lose damage before the fight even starts. The fix is to treat the party as a stacking system and the bow as a weak-point weapon, not as a normal ranged weapon you fire casually into the boss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this bow build still work in version 1.0.2?

Yes. Version 1.0.2 is a bug-fix and stability patch in the current 1.0 line, with the bow setup still built around the same Mechanical Bow, Loomen, Solenne, and weak-point damage pieces introduced with the 1.0 endgame.

Can I use this build before getting the Mechanical Bow?

Yes. Use an Advanced Bow with the same support party while you work toward Technology Level 67. The setup will function earlier, but the huge burst damage comes online once the Mechanical Bow replaces it.

Is Robinquill Terra worth using over another damage Pal?

Only if you value faster draw timing more than peak burst. Robinquill Terra improves bow charge speed, while the stronger boss-kill setup favors Solenne, Loomen, and weak-point damage Pals for bigger charged hits.
