To mark the 5th anniversary of its ColorOS, the Chinese manufacturer, OPPO has unveiled its newest user interface ColorOS 6.0. OPPO says till date it has released 13 major OS updates to a whopping 250 million users based in 140 countries and regions. As of now, the company has rolled out ColorOS 5.2.1 with HyperBoost to optimize the gaming performance.
Just like Xiaomi MIUI 10 and Samsung One UI, ColorOS 6.0 promises a better navigating experience on phones with a large screen. The custom skin is set to boost the performance of both high-end and entry-level devices from the Chinese vendor.

In terms of features, ColorOS 6.0 ensures a revamped UI layout with rearranged text displays and icons. It now presents a border-less design with lighter color schemes. Also, the whole of the UI and several system applications feature gradient design. No doubt, this all will make the latest OS look cleaner, more refined and appealing to eyes.
With ColorOS 6.0 a new font called “OPPO Sans” has been introduced with soft, uniform neater strokes. There is also a new text layout scheme complementing the screen, thereby, enhancing the reading efficiency. An intriguing game sounder feature with several sound templates now allows users to customize the sound during the gameplay.
As AI is new buzzword ColorOS 6.0 also uses machine learning. By monitoring user’s app activity it freezes the unused apps in the background rather than totally shutting them down. This time, the animations are also said to be slower and smoother for the user’s convenience.
So far, basically the design changes of the ColorOS 6.0 are revealed. The information about the functional changes is still scarce. We hope the company will spill the beans in this regard quite soon. The ColorOS 6.0 will start to roll out in 2019.
