Italy seems to be in for one disappointment after the other today. Earlier today LG confirmed that there would be a delay of four weeks in supply of the Nexus 4 to Italy, and that an end-of-December release was what seemed most likely.

The latest from the land of pastas and fast cars, is that only the 16GB version of the Nexus 4 would be sold. No 8GB version would be available. Well, look at it this way – it would have been more disappointing had it been the other way round with only the 8GB version being made available.

The other bit that Android HD Blog has reported is that the pricing is likely to be between € 549 and € 599. This has not been officially confirmed, but seems most probable, given recent reports that LG plans to price the Nexus 4 at around € 599 in Spain, as well as other countries where the Google Play-ground is not open yet.

Only 7 countries are lucky enough to get it directly from the Play Store at the $349/€ 349 price : U.S., UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada, and if you’re from one of them, and haven’t ordered your Nexus 4 as yet, remember that someone else not as lucky as you is going to have to pay € 250 more for the same phone.
