OnePlus phones are one of the most Custom ROM friendly phones in the market. We’re sure that the OnePlus 7 Pro will definitely have users itching to tinker with different versions of Android operating systems available out there thanks to its crazy performance and impressive specs. Majorly, its developer-friendliness cannot be denied, and you can finally run the XML driven, customizable TWRP Custom Recovery on your OnePlus 7 Pro (guacamole).

XDA Developer mauronofrio released the initial TWRP build two weeks ago, however, the phone was unable to perform the fastboot boot which created a major roadblock. It booted the image from inside the phone, rather than the TWRP image supplied via fastboot.

However, OnePlus officially released the recent OxygenOS 9.5.4/9.5.5 OTA update on May 26th to ensure that the phone can support this command.

You’ll need to unlock the bootloader, flash the TWRP software and run it from Magisk. Versions 3.3.1-0 and 3.3.1-20 are the same versions however the unofficial one has an additional security patch so keep that file on board.
