If a recent rumor on Weibo is to be believed, then we may well get to see the OnePlus 5 launch on June 15. The rumor mill has been giving renders and leaks ever since the start of this year, so it wouldn’t be that surprising to see the flagship come out next month.
The OEM had even confirmed a summer launch for the device and June 15 seems to fit the bill. A couple of weeks back, an AnTuTu benchmark listing revealed a good deal about the specs of the OnePlus 5. The smartphone may sport 6/8GB of RAM, carry 64/128GB of internal storage and sport a 16MP + 16MP dual camera setup too.
The processor on board has been confirmed, by the OnePlus CEO himself, to be the Snapdragon 835. We don’t have a handle on the display resolution yet, but we’re hoping to see OnePlus make the jump to QuadHD. Doing so would make it possible to view VR related content at a much higher quality than at 1080p.

Based on another leak, OnePlus 5 may feature UFS 2.1 based storage, enabling faster app launch times. This, coupled with the high performance chipset mentioned above, may have enabled OnePlus 5 to beat the Galaxy S8 in benchmarks.
