OnePlus plans to roll out Android 10 update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T handsets but that is not happening anytime soon — the company has confirmed the Q2 2020 release for that.

However, OnePlus is keeping both the devices up to date with the latest security fixes. Today, the company began rolling out October security patches for the OnePlus 5 and 5T, coming in as OxygenOS 9.0.9.

The 9.0.9 update is rolling out as we speak. Besides October patches, the update also aims to fix issues with expanded screenshots and includes general bug fixes and improvements. Here’s a complete changelog of the update:

  • System
    • Fixed an issue with Expanded Screenshots
    • Updated Android security patch to 2019.10
    • General bug fixes and improvements

To check for an update, open the Settings app on your device, and then scroll down and tap System > System updates. The device will check for updates and let you know if it’s available already to you.
