OnePlus 3T gets touch latency issue fix in China with Hydrogen OS 2.5 Release 1 build

OnePlus team has released a fix for the touch latency issue on the OnePlus 3T, and this comes as software version Hydrogen OS 2.5 Release 1 in China. The update basically packs in lots of changes, but the most important one is: touch accuracy enhancement.

Most changes in the HOS 2.5 Release 1 update like new clock UI, call interface, GPS and camera improvements, etc. were already available for the global OnePlus 3T users with OxygenOS 3.5.3 update, but the Chinese nab the one feature that’s the most wanted one: touch latency fix.

Here’s a full changelog of the Hydrogen OS 2.5 Release 1, which is restricted to China. It’s translated one, BTW. And in case you wondering about Nougat update, well, it’e been out for the OnePlus 3 as Open beta 8, while it should come out for the 3T anytime now, with the stable Nougat release scheduled for December 2016 itself.

  • New clock display
  • New call interface
  • New way to share contact card optimization
  • Optimizing GPS
  • Improve location accuracy
  • Optimized touch firmware to enhance the accuracy of touch
  • To enhance the image quality of the camera
  • Improve the system stability
  • Fluency

The firmware of the update is also available for download here, in case it helps any developer to port the fix to OxygenOS for global OnePlus 3T sets, but we expect OnePlus to release the touch issue fixer update under OxygenOS moniker pretty soon.
