OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users who are members of the Beta program are now receiving a new Open Beta update with some new features, improvements and bug fixes. You can now download the new update and test it out on your device.
The Open Beta is based on Android 8.0 Oreo and those using a previous beta will get the update as an OTA. You can, however, download the firmware and install it manually as well. The OnePlus 3 gets OxygenOS Open Beta build 29 and the OnePlus 3T gets build Open Beta build 20.
Included in the new builds, is a new Notes app from OnePlus. The app allows you to take quick notes, share them as a photo, and the Memo widget can now be edited from the Shelf. There’s a new Quick clipboard that improves copying and editing.

Apart from that, you get a new weather widget, the File Manager gets some new improvements, and there’s a new OTG toggle in Quick Settings. The new builds also include the latest December Android security patch, and a few other bug fixes.
If you like to try out new software before the others, then you should probably try out these new Open Beta updates on your OnePlus 3 or 3T. Remember, these are beta updates, which means that there will probably be some bugs. In case you don’t want to experiment, then the stable version of Oreo for these devices is already available.
