We just love hacks and methods that let us do important stuff like rooting and installing ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery on our Android phones with just a single click, instead of needing to go through complicated steps or procedures which require a lot of reading and being careful. Of course, being careful is a must no matter how easy or difficult a procedure is, but one-click methods save us a lot of time and effort as well.

The Nexus S line of phones has received a new one-click root tool thanks to XDA modder m.sabra, that lets you root as well as install ClockworkMod recovery on your Nexus S on both Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich firmware, with a few simple clicks. It supports all the variants of the Nexus S, like the T-Mobile and AT&T versions, along with the international versions. The rooting procedure is quite simple. All you need to do is connect your Nexus S to your computer, run an automated .bat file, then follow the on-screen instructions to root and install ClockworkMod recovery.

There is a caveat though. In order to make ClockworkMod recovery survive a phone reboot, you have to run another script, which requires entering a couple of lines of text manually. But we’re sure this will be sorted out soon as the tool gets more updates in the future.

So head on over to the original development thread on XDA to download the tool and to get additional info on it. Share your thoughts on how it works out for you, in the comments below.
