Samsung’s current flagships, the Galaxy S9/S9+ and Galaxy Note 9 offer quite a similar camera experience. Although, it should be noted that the Galaxy S9 is the only phone of the three that does not have a dual rear camera.
Even so, it’s still capable of taking portrait shots. What it doesn’t offer is 2x optical zoom. As for the Galaxy S9+ and the Galaxy Note 9, they have nearly identical rear cameras. The biggest difference being some intelligent features Samsung offers in the Note 9 like flaw detection and scene optimizers.

Well, the good news is that now Galaxy S9/S9+ owners can also take advantage of these options on their smartphones. An XDA Developers member posted on the forums announcing he (and others) have developed a Note 9 Camera Port for the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
On top of the features we already mentioned, the port also adds 0.2 and 0.4 sec Super-Slow-Mo and Flashlight in Live Focus mode.
While for the time being the port only works with the Galaxy S9 and S9+, the developer said he is planning to develop one for the Galaxy S8 too.
So if you have a rooted Galaxy S9 at your disposal, now you can take advantage of the cool camera features that were previously only available to Note 9 users.
