Nokia 9 specs leak

HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand, seems to be trying hard to bring back the brand into the mainstream market and make it a hit once again. It started off with the release of three devices (Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6) at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and has a flagship device up its sleeves which it plans to launch sometime in June. Called Nokia 9 (or may be Nokia C9), this flagship device will be endowed with all the high-end specsheet, as per a new leak.

Most importantly, the leak suggests Nokia 9 to sport an Iris scanner, a feature which we saw grace the front of the recently released Galaxy S8 flagship. Other Nokia 9 features, as claimed by the leak, are a 22 MP dual rear camera with Carl-Zeiss lens and 12 MP front facing camera. It will pack in the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The Nokia OZO audio on Nokia 9 will enhance the audio quality, making it the first smartphone to carry this feature. The screen size is tipped to be 5.5-inch with QHD, OLED display.

Nokia 9 will be shipped with 6GB RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage. Other notable features include fingerprint scanner and IP68 certification. It will be shipped with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. To keep the juices flowing, there will be 3800 mAH battery with support for Qualcomm Quick-Charge 4.

Further enhancing these hardware and software features is the all-metal body design with the rear wrapped in premium quality leather, as per a past leak. If all these specs leak turns out to be true, Nokia 9 will be a flagship device worth putting our hands on. And with the reliability the brand has garnered over the many years of of its existence, we can say without doubt that there will be many takers for Nokia’s 2017 flagship device.
