HMD Global has released Android 9 Pie updates for seven of its devices and it appears that the Nokia 6 is about to make it a total of eight.
All other variants of the Nokia 6 have already been upgraded to Android 9 Pie. The first to do so was the Nokia 6.1 followed by the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The rollout was a day apart, but the wait for the same update to arrive on the OG version is still on. On the brighter side, the stopover on Geekbench suggests that tests are underway, with a possible release set for this Q1 2019.
Of course, we can’t give you an exact date, but it should happen somewhere in February or maybe March. HMD is also expected to update the likes of Nokia 7, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 3, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 2 and Nokia 1 to the latest and greatest from Google.
For the uninitiated, the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 2 and Nokia 1 will all receive an update to Android 9 Pie Go Edition. This is a toned-down version of the standard Pie that is optimized to run on devices with weaker hardware – the exact kind you find on the aforementioned Nokia phones.
Android 9 Pie will be the second and last major OS upgrade the Nokia 6 gets, but the device should keep receiving security updates through 2019.
