HMD is planning a busy 2018 with a flurry of smartphones being lined up for launch, starting with the upcoming MWC 2018 event. The event will play host to several phones, more so the Nokia 6 2018 alongside others like Nokia 4, Nokia 5 2018 and Nokia 7 Plus, a new Android One phone from the Finnish companies.
For weeks now, we’ve also heard rumors regarding HMD’s ultimate 2018 flagship phone, the Nokia 10. As the name suggests, this would be the company’s top of the line phone followed by the likes of Nokia 9 and Nokia 8, all the way to Nokia 1, an upcoming Android Go Oreo phone.
So, what do we know about the Nokia 10? Read on.

Nokia 8 Pro: Specs, features and release date
Nokia 10 specs and features
- 3D glass design
- 6-inch 18:9 display screen
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845
- 6GB RAM and 64GB storage
- Penta-lens camera
- Android 8.1 Oreo
According to several reports outed by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia 10 will indeed be a one-of-a-kind piece of hardware. Of course, being a flagship phone, you can expect features like a 3D glass build and 18:9 display screen, perhaps with a size of about 6 inches; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset mated with up to 6GB RAM and at least 64GB of internal storage; and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
However, there’s one interesting rumor about the Nokia 10. Apparently, this phone will come with ZEISS’ newly-patented rotating zoom camera technology featuring up to five lenses on the back of the device, as shown in the image above.
In what is described as a Penta-lens camera, the Nokia 10 would be the first smartphone in history to feature more than three lenses on the back (Huawei is expected to unveil the P20 and P20 Plus with three lenses on the back, the first of its kind).
We do know that quality of photography has nothing to do with the number of lenses you use or even the megapixel count. However, given we are dealing with one of the best in the business aka Carl ZEISS, it’s okay to have high expectations for the Nokia 10 camera.
Nokia 10 price and release date
- No pricing details
- Release date rumored for August or September 2018
- May launch as Nokia 8 Pro
The Nokia 8 made its debut priced at 599 euros. Since the Nokia 10 is expected to be way ahead of the Nokia 8 in just about everything – and a Nokia 9 could also exist between them – you can expect a much higher price tag for the new phone, perhaps in the regions of between 650 euros and 750 euros.
As for the release date, the Nokia 10 could see a similar timing as the OG Nokia 8, which was announced in September 2017. However, NokiaPowerUser reports that this phone could, in fact, be unveiled as the Nokia 8 Pro.
