Nexus 4 Marshmallow Update Won’t Release Officially, hope for CM13

The word on the street just got confirmed. Nexus 4 will not be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially from Google. The device is now finally left out of support for latest Android updates.

However, you shouldn’t be worried about Android Marshmallow for your Nexus 4 since getting CM13 on the devices won’t be an issue at all.

CM13 is expected to release by mid-October, and soon as it’s available, it should reach Nexus 4 users within a couple of weeks.

Google will be releasing Android Marshmallow officially today, however the update will only push to supported Nexus devices by 5th of October.

Also, Android 6.0 source code will probably merge into AOSP after 5th October only, so expect CM13 to come by 20th October.
