Google Search application on your Android device will allow you to send voice messages via Hangouts. Well, this information comes in from a Droid Life report that suggests that this feature has gone live in the last few days.
The latest feature has to be enabled from the server side and with this one the Google Search application will come with Hangouts integration. As it needs be activated, it is not available for all Android smartphones at present. Anyways, to avail this feature, your device should run the latest versions of Hangouts and Google Search applications.
To send a voice message via Hangouts using Google voice actions, you will have to say “Ok Google” followed by “Send a Hangouts Message”. Once Google opens a small window, you will have to send the voice message and a confirmation on whether it has to be sent. You can also say “Ok Google, Send Contact Name a Chat Message”.
If you have not received this service even after updating to the latest Google Search and Hangouts applications from the Play Store, you will have to wait until the feature is rolled out to you from the server side.
Anyways, this feature that lets you send voice messages via Hangouts using Google Now or Google Search is a pretty convenient one. We are yet to see if this feature will be made available for the Android Wear devices as well.
