An impressive Google voice search feature was announced on Thursday via the Android Developer’s Google+ page. This feature will let you open a set of applications directly using voice commands.

For instance, you can open the Zillow app and get a map of properties in your location by saying “Ok Google, find houses near me on Zillow”. Earlier, the same would have directed you to the mobile site of Zillow and given a link to download the application. This way, you can find attractions near you on TripAdvisor, get show timings for movies on Flixster and more.

However, there are some limitations with this new feature right now. Only a few applications are supported by the new feature of Google voice search. Even the supported apps have only a couple of precise voice commands that will carry out the task you desire.

If you search for something on an application that is not supported, you will get an ordinary search result card. We can expect more features and applications to be added in the near future.

The complete list of the applications that are supported by the new voice search feature of Google are mentioned below.

  • Flixster: “Show me Inception on Flixster.”
  • Instacart: “Show instacart availability.”
  • Lincoln: “Start my Lincoln MKZ.”
  • NPR One: “Listen to NPR.”
  • Realtor.com: “Show rentals near me on Realtor.”
  • Shazam: “Shazam this song.”
  • TripAdvisor: “Show attractions near me on TripAdvisor.”
  • Trulia: “Show homes for sale in Boston on Trulia.”
