Netflix organizes its entire catalog into thousands of micro-genres that never show up in the regular home screen menus. Each of these hidden categories has its own numeric code, and typing that code into a specific web address takes you straight to a curated list of movies or shows in that genre, skipping the algorithm’s usual recommendations.

How to redeem codes in Netflix
You don’t type these codes into a promo box anywhere inside the app. Each one is a genre ID that you attach to a web address, and Netflix loads the matching category page for you.

netflix.com/browse/genre/ followed immediately by the code number for the category you want, then press enter.Note: this method works from a browser tab rather than through the mobile app’s or smart TV’s own interface, since there’s no code-entry field built into those versions of Netflix.
Expired Netflix codes
These category codes no longer load a page and have been retired from Netflix’s genre system.

How to get more Netflix codes
Netflix doesn’t publish a list of these genre codes anywhere official, and there’s no announcement post or social account dedicated to them. They exist purely as internal IDs behind Netflix’s own content-tagging system, and new ones surface whenever Netflix adds a fresh micro-genre or reshuffles how it groups titles behind the scenes.
Because there’s no official channel to watch for updates, the only way to find a new code is to notice a fresh category appear while browsing Netflix’s home screen and then check its web address for the matching number. We check for new codes and remove expired ones from this list periodically.
Are Netflix codes free to use?
Yes. These codes don’t unlock extra content or cost anything beyond your existing subscription. They simply act as a shortcut to a genre page that already exists inside your plan’s catalog.
Why didn’t my code work?
If the address bar sends you back to the regular home screen instead of a category page, the code has most likely been retired as Netflix reorganized its genre system, similar to the codes marked expired above.
Bookmark whichever genre pages you use most so you can jump back to them directly instead of retyping the code every time you open Netflix.
