MTG Arena lets you punch in promo codes for free booster packs, and Wizards of the Coast drops new ones every so often tied to set launches, streams, and events. Here’s what actually works right now.

Working MTG Arena Codes

Only two codes are confirmed to work at the moment, and both hand you three booster packs from a specific set. Type them in exactly as shown below, since the redemption field is case-sensitive.

How to redeem codes in MTG Arena

Open MTG Arena and log into your account from the main menu.

Click the Store icon on the left side of the screen.
Look for the “Redeem Code” button near the top of the Store screen and click it.
Type or paste one of the working codes into the text field exactly as it appears, then confirm.
Check your Packs tab in the collection screen. The booster packs from the code should appear there right away, confirming the redemption went through.

If the game tells you a code is invalid or already used, it’s expired or was tied to a one-time claim on your account. There’s no way to force an expired code to work again.

Expired MTG Arena codes

These codes used to unlock packs but no longer register in the redeem field. Don’t waste time trying them.

How to get more MTG Arena codes

Wizards of the Coast ties most MTG Arena codes to set releases, showcase streams, and official announcements rather than a fixed schedule. Your best bet is checking the in-game mail and store notifications inside MTG Arena itself, since new codes often get pushed there directly when a set launches or a promotional event runs.

The developer’s own official social channels are also where these codes tend to surface first, usually alongside a preview stream or a set announcement. There’s no fixed cadence, so codes can go weeks without an update and then several can drop around the same set release.

Are these codes free?

Yes. Every code listed here gives you booster packs at no cost, as long as you redeem it before it expires.

Why didn’t my code work?

If a code doesn’t register, it’s almost always because it has expired or you’ve already redeemed it once on that account. Double-check for typos too, since the field won’t auto-correct capitalization mistakes.

Keep an eye on your in-game mailbox even after redeeming the current codes, since that’s usually the first place a fresh one shows up once a new set or event goes live.
