MTG Arena hands out promo codes that unlock card packs, cosmetic sleeves, card styles, and XP boosts without spending a dime. Wizards of the Coast ties most of these codes to set launches, streams, or special events, so they show up in bursts rather than on a steady schedule.

Working MTG Arena Codes

There are no active MTG Arena codes right now. Every code from recent set releases and events has already expired, but this space gets refreshed the moment Wizards of the Coast puts a new one into circulation, so check back before you assume you’ve missed out.

How to redeem codes in MTG Arena

Where you redeem a code depends on whether you’re on desktop or on your phone, since MTG Arena splits the process across two different menus.

MTG Arena Player Inbox screen showing automatic free pack delivery
On desktop, open MTG Arena and look for the redeem option inside the Store or your account settings menu. On mobile, the same option sits in a slightly different spot within the app’s menu structure, so tap through your settings if you don’t see it right away.
Type the code exactly as it’s written, including capitalization, then confirm. Rewards land in your collection or inventory right away, and packs or sleeves show up the next time you check your collection or deck-building screen.
If you’re a new player still working through the New Player Experience, hold off on opening any pack rewards until you’ve claimed all ten of those starter decks. Opening packs too early means duplicate cards from those decks won’t add extra copies to your collection, so you lose value you’d otherwise keep.

You’ll know a code worked when the reward appears directly in your collection, mastery XP bar, or cosmetics inventory without any error message popping up.

Expired MTG Arena codes

These codes no longer redeem anything, but they show the kind of rewards MTG Arena has handed out in the past, mostly set-launch packs, XP boosts, and cosmetic sleeves tied to specific storylines.

How to get more MTG Arena codes

Wizards of the Coast drops new codes around set launches, livestreamed events, and special promotions rather than on a fixed calendar. You’ll get the fastest heads-up by keeping an eye on official MTG Arena announcements and the game’s in-client news feed, since that’s where new codes typically surface first.

Because these codes are usually tied to a specific set or event, they tend to arrive in clusters and then go quiet for weeks at a time. Redeeming one as soon as you spot it is the safest move, since Wizards of the Coast doesn’t publish expiration dates ahead of time.

Are MTG Arena codes free?

Yes. Every code Wizards of the Coast releases is free to redeem and grants rewards like packs, sleeves, card styles, or XP boosts at no cost, usually as a thank-you for playing or attending an event.

Why didn’t my MTG Arena code work?

Double-check the spelling and capitalization first, since codes must be entered exactly as issued. If the code matches what was published and still fails, it has most likely already expired.

New codes for MTG Arena will land in the working list here as soon as Wizards of the Coast puts them into circulation, so bookmark this page and check back after major set launches or livestreamed events.
