It seems the Android 4.0 update for the Motorola Droid RAZR is going to hit the air at any moment now, as one lucky owner from Greece has already got the official update on his phone. After giving in his phone for repairs to Greek carrier Cellcom’s customer care and then collecting it back, he got a notification on his phone followed by the Android 4.0.4 update.

Now, according to Motorola’s official ICS release schedule, the GSM variant of the RAZR is supposed to get the ICS update in Q2. However, when contacted, both Motorola and Cellcom denied that the RAZR was about to get the update in Greece soon, so it’s possible that the customer care guys flashed an internal testing ROM on the phone, which means that the official update could get released in the coming days and is currently undergoing testing.

The firmware version (seen in the image above) is named EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), which means that the update could be going live in a lot of countries pretty soon. As for the lucky owner who already got it, here’s hoping the 4.0.4 ROM is stable enough for everyday use.
