Moto Z Oreo update starts rolling out in Brazil

It looks like the Motorola Moto Z could be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update in Brazil. However, we aren’t sure if this is part of the soak test or a more widespread stable release.

The Oreo soak test for the original Moto Z and the Moto Z2 Force commenced late last month. A soak test is where the company releases a new software to limited users so they can test it before releasing it to the public.

So, this could be part of the soak test, as we haven’t received any confirmation from Motorola about a stable release. This update also includes a newer Android security patch and carries the build number OPL27.75.

If you’ve received this update, do let us know if it’s the beta or the final version. Motorola did state that the stable Oreo update for the Moto Z and Moto Z2 Force would arrive in December, so this could be a stable version too. After this, it’ll be the Moto Z Play and Moto Z2 Play that would be updated to Oreo.
