In June 2018, the Moto G5 Plus got a working port of MIUI 9 that brought all the glory of the Chinese OEM’s custom skin to the Lenovo handset and today, we have news about a similar case, only that it involves the newest MIUI 10.
XDA junior member Manovips has managed to bring a working MIUI 10 ROM to the Moto G5 Plus handset, having extracted the same from the Poco F1 ROM. Initially, the ROM had fingerprint issues once installed on the Moto, but this has now been fixed. Thus, there is no known issue with the available ROM, which makes it an interesting prospect.

Looking at the shared screengrabs, it seems the MIUI 10 ROM was based off beta version 8.10.25 running on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, but with a stable version of MIUI 10 already available, there should be updates to this ROM sooner or later. The ROM is accompanied by October 2018 security patch, which isn’t the latest version available.
Note that this ROM is not for everyone. You need to know a few things about flashing ROMs before taking this journey. That said, you can grab the download files and check out the installation guide through this XDA thread.
