QUICK ANSWER
The Goblin Shark has the highest exact raw sell value at $6,200. To earn the $100,000 sale achievement, multiply a high-value fish through cooking and roulette; no naturally caught fish sells for $100,000.

The Goblin Shark is the most valuable fish with an exact raw sell price in How to Fish, bringing in $6,200 before cooking or roulette. This physics-based co-op fishing game from Dazed Games launched on Steam on August 20, 2026 and plays as much like a shooter as a fishing game: you catch fish, kill them, and sell them to buy better gear. Only a small set of species has exact sell values in the game’s data, while the largest payouts come from increasing a fish’s value after landing it.

Fish with the highest raw sell values

Fish Raw sell value Weight
Goblin Shark $6,200
Superdwarf Fish $1,700 0.0001
Voxel Fish $340 2.0
Flying Fish $320 4.0

Key These fish have exact base sell prices in the shipped build. The Goblin Shark leads by a wide margin at $6,200, while the Superdwarf Fish sells for $1,700, has 120 health, and its 0.0001 weight matches its name. The Voxel Fish sells for $340, while the Flying Fish sells for $320. These are all raw values before cooking or roulette markup.

How grill and lava cooking raise sell value

Fish Raw value Best cooked value
Goblin Shark $6,200 $9,300
Superdwarf Fish $1,700 $2,550
Voxel Fish $340 $510
Flying Fish $320 $480

Unlock the grill on island 3 and use cooking as your main money multiplier. It works on fish, guns, and other sellable items. Press F to inspect an item and view its Value, cooking multiplier, weight, and killscore as they update live over the flame. Hold a fish over the grill until its value reaches 1.5x, then pull it off immediately. Its value collapses to 0 the moment it turns solid black. A burnt fish is worthless and barely heals, so burn one only when completing the achievement.

The same 1.5x multiplier applies to guns and other sellable items, so cook weapons before selling them too. On the island 5 volcano, lava cooks items at exactly 1.5x with no timing risk at all. Lava-cook everything before it leaves your hands. Applied to these fish, the multiplier produces the values shown above.

QUICK WIN

Lava-cook every fish before you sell or gamble it — on island 5 the lava applies a flat 1.5x with zero timing risk, so there is never a reason to sell a raw catch there.

Reaching the $100,000 sale for Rich! Millionaire

No fish naturally sells for $100,000, and the fish with exact base values do not come close on their own. The Rich! Millionaire achievement requires you to sell something worth 100,000 or more. Run a valuable fish through roulette to reach that amount. The Reel of Fortune green pocket pays 35x the value of the item you bet and returns an item for you to sell. That payout is the “something” checked by the achievement.

At the 35x rate, you need to bet a cooked item worth at least $2,858 ($100,000 ÷ 35) to reach a $100,000 sale. That requires roughly a $1,906 raw fish after the 1.5x lava increase. Aim for around $3,200 cooked so an imperfect catch does not leave you stranded at $99,000. The Goblin Shark reaches $9,300 when cooked, putting it safely above the required threshold, so farm the real money on island 5. Green occupies one pocket in 37. Pair this route with the All in achievement, which requires betting on green and winning, and gamble only fish already above the threshold. Both achievements will unlock when green lands.

Where the real late-game money comes from

The late-game value loop is on island 5, the volcano. Farm it with Scientific Lures, the $500 tier, lava-cook the entire haul at 1.5x, and stack trick-shot multipliers on every kill to increase each fish’s value before cooking it. A full 360 no-scope adds 1.5x by itself, while headshot, no-scope, last-bullet, and point-blank bonuses multiply on top. Island 5 fish are the better catches for this loop. Use the cooking-and-roulette thresholds above instead of farming for a specific island 5 value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does any fish naturally sell for $100,000 in How to Fish?

No. The Goblin Shark has the highest listed base value at $6,200, and lava-cooking raises it to $9,300. Rich! Millionaire checks the value of the item you sell rather than a fish’s base price. Gamble a cooked high-value fish on roulette green for the 35x payout, then sell the resulting item. A caught fish will not reach $100,000 on its own.

Is the Goblin shark the most valuable fish?

Yes, among fish with exact listed sell values, the Goblin Shark is the most valuable at $6,200 raw and $9,300 after lava-cooking. The Superdwarf Fish sits below it at $1,700 raw, with 120 health and a 0.0001 weight. Late-game content runs deep in value: island 5’s optional mini-boss, for example, is summoned with a $5,800 Scientific Boss Lure.
