Tiel the Acolyte is one of the Shells you can discover while exploring Mortal Shell 2. His location is easy to overlook because the grave is tucked away near Martyr’s Tomb rather than placed directly along the main route. Once you find the grave, however, unlocking Tiel only requires completing a short memory sequence.

How to find and unlock Tiel shell in Mortal Shell 2
Step 1 – Start at Widow’s Overlook
Travel to the Widow’s Overlook beacon and make your way toward the Ritual Grounds area. Your destination is the arena where you previously fought the Great Arbiter of Flesh. Once you reach the arena, continue toward the entrance of Martyr’s Tomb.
Step 2 – Pass to the left of Martyr’s Tomb
When you reach Martyr’s Tomb, do not enter the dungeon. Instead, pass along the left side of the entrance and continue toward the large tree in the area.
The tree is an important landmark because Tiel’s grave is hidden shortly beyond it.
Step 3 – Find the wooden rampart
Continue past the large tree until you spot a wooden rampart marked by two torches. Enter this wooden structure and immediately look toward the left side.
Step 4 – Locate Tiel’s grave
Inside the rampart, you will find a grave positioned at the base of a tree. Interact with the grave to trigger the sequence that allows you to inhabit the unknown Shell.
This begins Tiel’s Rash Memory, which you must complete before the Shell becomes available.
Step 5 – Find the building in Tiel’s Rash Memory
Once the memory starts, look for the nearby building. Approach the front window first, but you will find that this entrance is locked.
Instead of trying to enter through the front, move around to the side of the building.
Step 6 – Enter through the side window
Look for an accessible window on the side of the building. Open it and climb inside.
Once you’re inside, head toward the desk.
Step 7 – Collect the flask
Interact with the flask on the desk. This triggers the rest of Tiel’s memory sequence.
Allow the sequence to play out, and once it finishes, Tiel the Acolyte will be unlocked as a usable Shell.
What makes Tiel useful?
Tiel is geared toward players who prefer a faster and more evasive combat style. Rather than relying primarily on heavy attacks and high durability, the Shell is designed around mobility, positioning and avoiding incoming damage.
His Shadow-focused abilities give him a distinctive identity compared with the heavier Shells available in Mortal Shell 2. This makes Tiel particularly appealing if you prefer to stay mobile, attack from advantageous positions and avoid prolonged exchanges.
The important thing to remember is that finding Tiel’s grave is only the first part of the unlock. You must enter his Rash Memory and retrieve the flask from the building before the Shell becomes available.

The route to Tiel is relatively short once you know which landmarks to follow. Begin at Widow’s Overlook, head toward the Great Arbiter of Flesh arena, and continue to Martyr’s Tomb. Pass to the left of the tomb, find the large tree and then look for the wooden rampart with two torches.
Inside, the grave at the base of the tree starts Tiel’s Rash Memory. During the memory, ignore the locked front window and enter through the accessible window on the side of the building. Collect the flask from the desk to complete the sequence and unlock Tiel the Acolyte.
