Synaptic Vessel upgrades Mether’s Pulse healing efficiency at a Beacon, increasing the HP restored per heal, and two early sources are Merrick in Marrow Keep and the Flooded Village boss route.
This upgrade is easy to overlook because carrying the material does nothing by itself. The route below pairs a simple purchase with a tougher fight, then shows you how to apply both Vessels.
What Synaptic Vessel does

Find a Beacon
Interact with any Beacon after obtaining a Synaptic Vessel.
Select Mether’s Pulse
Open Mether’s Pulse and choose Improve Efficiency.
Spend the Vessel
Use one Synaptic Vessel to apply the permanent efficiency upgrade.
How to get the Flooded Village Synaptic Vessel
Travel to Flooded Village
Open the map and make your way to the Flooded Village.
Find Grisha boss
Explore the village until you reach its main boss encounter.
Defeat the boss
Win the fight to make the second Synaptic Vessel available.
Collect the reward
Loot the Synaptic Vessel after the encounter.
Apply the second upgrade
Return to a Beacon and spend the Vessel through Mether’s Pulse and Improve Efficiency.
Best early use for two Synaptic Vessels
Apply both early upgrades before difficult bosses or unfamiliar regions. The stronger recovery makes each opening to heal more valuable and reduces the pressure to spend another charge immediately.
Continue collecting Revered Glands alongside Synaptic Vessels. The two materials complement each other by developing both the capacity and potency of Mether’s Pulse.
