Start a new game
Begin the prologue and follow the opening sequence until you can move through the village.
Follow the village path
Continue along the linear route toward the point where you will claim your first Shell.
Stop for the flower interaction
Speak to the flower NPC when the prompt appears instead of walking past; the displayed name may differ by language or build, so identify the character by the crown offer.
Accept the flower crown
Choose to accept the crown when given the option, as declining it prevents entry into the Festival.
Enter the Festival
Continue into the Festival and wait for the Mid Summer? trophy or achievement to unlock before moving on.
Why Mid Summer? is missable
The flower-crown prompt is a one-time prologue trigger. Walking past the interaction or declining the offer allows the opening route to continue without entering the Festival, and that save does not provide another opportunity later in the game.
Handle the flower-crown interaction before claiming your first Shell. Do not rush past the village residents while following the opening path.
New Game+ cannot be used for cleanup because it begins at Marrow Keep and skips the tutorial section. If you have already passed the crown prompt, create a new save and replay the short opening route.
