If you thought FPS multiplayer competitions could only happen on desktops or consoles, think again. Gameloft and MLG (Major League Gaming) have joined hands to hold a competition in two of the most exciting, and graphically brilliant mobile games – N.O.V.A 3 and Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation. While Modern Combat 3 is not exactly a new game, with MC4: Zero Hour just around the corner, it is still extremely popular in the mobile gaming circuit, and an ideal candidate for the MLG championship.

To make things a bit more interesting, Gameloft has has dropped the pricing for Modern Combat 3, which otherwise costs $6.99, down to a dollar. Now that should help get a lot more people to participate in the contest. Winners of the contest are eligible to win cash prizes, so it’s a dollar well spent.

To be able to participate, all you need to do is link up your Gameloft Live account to your MLG account, and you should be good to go. For the uninitiated, here’s a short video clip of the thick of action in Modern Combat 3:Fallen Nation. If you think you’ve got what it takes, go ahead and sign up.
