It’s been two weeks since Xiaomi announced the new MIUI 10 and so far, the software has been limited to a small group of its Chinese fan base with devices like the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the flagship Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S already enjoying the update.
Now, as of this writing, the tech giant is spreading its love to the global scene, where it has announced that MIUI 10 is now available for select devices. In addition to the aforementioned Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi MIX 2S, those who own any of the standard Mi MIX 2 and Redmi Note 5 or even the newer Redmi S2 can now join the new world of MIUI 10 right away.

The update that installs MIUI 10 comes as global beta ROM 8.6.14 and while it was supposed to accommodate the 2017 Xiaomi Mi 6, the company has suspended this device for unknown reasons, but probably bugs.
One interesting tweak the update brings is the addition of a World Cup card to the App vault, where users of the devices in question will be able to check out fixtures, results, news and other stats about the ongoing World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Besides this, the new MIUI 10 v8.6.14 update optimizes the Mi Browser’s start page and brings PWA support for better search and further fixes a bunch of bugs including the issue where settings would automatically restore to default and “Gallery has stopped” error when opening the File Manager, among others.
The update is airborne and thus, you may have to wait for a few days before the OTA notification arrives on your phone. The download links are not yet live, but when Xiaomi avails them, we’ll also provide the links for those who can’t wait for the OTA update.
